Welcome to the official website for the Route 22 Sustainable Corridor Long Term Improvements Study. This site has been created to provide information and facilitate public input into the study process. We invite you to learn more about the study, be informed of project updates and upcoming meetings, and most important, to get involved and provide us with your valuable feedback.
Somerset County, in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), has initiated the Route 22 Sustainable Corridor Long Term Improvements Study. This corridor study will explore opportunities and constraints to improve vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle safety, improve mobility, provide more coordinated access to local businesses and properties, and better accommodate alternate modes of travel. The study will follow the NJDOT Concept Development process to ensure that improvements recommended at the end of the study can be furthered into Preliminary and Final Design for implementation.
